David Tromblay is an Irish and Ojibwe-descended author whose memoir As You Were could pass for a season of Fargo. After serving fourteen years between the Army and the Navy, he attended the Institute of American Indian Arts for his MFA in Creative Writing and has since written five books. He now lives in eastern Oklahoma with his mini goats, Kangals, and honey bees amongst his ever-growing food forest.
